New Priorities Outlined for DOJ

National security, consumer protection and restoring independence and non-partisanship to a Justice Department roiled by a rash of U.S. Attorney firings under the Bush administration are the major priorities of the department's civil division, Assistant Attorney General Tony West told a San Jose audience Wednesday.
