High Court Takes Class Action, Bankruptcy Cases

The U.S. Supreme Court Monday decided to take a case that will clarify under what circumstances defendants can remove class action cases to federal court.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court took a case Monday that promises to clarify under what circumstances defendants can remove class action cases to federal court. The court will also determine in another case whether bankruptcy lawyers can advise clients who are in the process of filing for bankruptcy.
