Senate Passes Bipartisan Fraud Bill

The Senate passed bipartisan legislation Tuesday modifying criminal statutes and authorizing $490 million to hire additional personnel protecting people made vulnerable by financial misfortune.

WASHINGTON - The Senate tackled the growing threat of recession-related fraud Tuesday by passing bipartisan legislation modifying criminal statutes and authorizing $490 million to hire additional personnel in an effort to protect homeowners and investors made vulnerable by financial misfortune.
