High Court Revives 49ers Pat-Down Suit

Sonya Winner, lawyer at Covington and Burlingon, is defending the San Francisco 49ers from a legal challenge to the team's pat-down security policy, which is used by NFL teams across the country. On Monday, the California Supreme Court revived a lawsuit filed by two fans against the policy.

SAN FRANCISCO - Football fans opposed to the San Francisco 49ers' pat-down search policy at Candlestick Park will have another chance to make their case, the California Supreme Court ruled Monday.

The justices voted unanimously to revive the fans' lawsuit challenging the searches and return it to a San Francisco trial court for further litigation.
