SAN FRANCISCO - About 300,000 motorists who claim they were wrongly fined for violating red-light cameras got a second chance to recover their money Wednesday.
The state Supreme Court breathed new life into a $23-million consumer class action against municipalities throughout the state who paid private red-light camera companies based on the number of tickets they issued.
