Brown Sues Baby Furniture Makers

Attorney General Jerry Brown announced Wednesday he has sued several baby furniture manufacturers, alleging they failed to warn the public that their cribs and changing tables release dangerous levels of formaldehyde.

SAN FRANCISCO - Attorney General Jerry Brown announced Wednesday he has sued several baby furniture manufacturers, alleging they failed to warn the public that their cribs and changing tables release dangerous levels of formaldehyde.

The suit was filed this week in Alameda County Superior Court and claims the companies violated state Proposition 65, a statute aimed at alerting the public to hazardous substances....
