LOS ANGELES - A closely-watched probate case that has tested mediation confidentiality statutes is headed to the state's Supreme Court.
In the case, which involves a dispute between sparring siblings over their mother's estate, an appellate panel was asked to decide whether a hand-drawn chart made during a mediation session was a settlement agreement, thus admissible as evidence in court.
