Minority Participation Must Begin Before Law School

      The legal profession is the least diverse profession in the nation. According to the California State Bar, more than 84 percent of California attorneys are white. At the same time, only 1.7 percent are African-American, 4 percent are Hispanic and 5.3 percent are Asian or Pacific Islander.
