Federal Court Says Nations Waive Immunity in Patent Negotiations
Foreign nations that have engaged in patent licensing negotiations in the United States waive their sovereign immunity and can be sued - even if no deals were ever made, according to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
