Coming to Terms With Climate Complications
No one ever said saving the Earth would be simple. Just witness the tussle over a plan to expand a Northern California refinery to produce more fuel to meet state anti-smog standards without importing additional crude oil. Attorney General Jerry Brown wants the ConocoPhillips project put on hold because he’s concerned it will produce enough greenhouse gas to offset reductions elsewhere in the state.
