Divided Court Questions States' Standing in Climate Lawsuit

WASHINGTON - In its first foray into the issue of global warming, the U.S. Supreme Court appeared ideologically divided Wednesday over the merits of an effort by Massachusetts, California and 10 other states to push the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to regulate carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions from new motor vehicles.
