The law firm Holland & Knight received an award from the greater Los Angeles chapter of the American Red Cross last week for its partnership with the organization. The award was given to recognize the firm’s legal work for Red Cross and its dedication to providing humanitarian services. “In addition to its legal representation, we have been equally impressed by the firm’s generous support of the Red Cross’ fundraising activities, most recently its $160,000 donation to our relief efforts in Japan,” Paul Schulz, CEO of the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region, said in a statement. “This award is our way of saying thank you.” Holland & Knight represents Red Cross on trust and estate matters naming the organization as a beneficiary. “It is truly rewarding to serve an organization that is so admired across the country and around the world for all that it has done to prevent and relieve the suffering of millions at their time of greatest need,” Managing Partner Steven Sonberg said. “We look forward to a continued strong and fruitful partnership.”
