Federal Nominees Pledge to Safeguard Rights During Crisis
WASHINGTON - On the heels of a bipartisan compromise agreement on an anti-terrorism bill sought by the Bush administration, nominees to the federal bench said during a confirmation hearing Thursday that they would work to ensure that constitutional rights are not trampled in the war on violent extremism.
