Punitive Phase Under Way for Cigarette Makers

SAN FRANCISCO - Jurors, who decided the country's two biggest cigarette manufacturers defrauded the public by misrepresenting the health of their products, began hearing the punitive phase testimony Tuesday in a closely watched tobacco trial. The jurors awarded a longtime smoker and her husband $1.7 million Monday.
