Equal Vows

Pizer Now that the Knight Initiative has passed, creating a unique exclusion in California's law, which otherwise recognizes all marriages validly performed in other states, I'm wondering how to explain to my godchild, Stephanie, why six out of 10 Californians don't want her parents to be married, and would deny her the legal protections her classmates have, because her parents are both mommies.
