The Medical Board of California can legally compel physicians to disclose patient records as part of an investigation into their practices, the 2nd District Court of Appeal has ruled.

The Medical Board of California can legally compel physicians to disclose patient records as part of an investigation into their practices, the 2nd District Court of Appeal has ruled.

The medical board, which regulates California's health care practitioners, is looking into whether Los Angeles-based psychiatrist Alisa Cross over-prescribed Adderall to patients over several months.
