State high court rejects part of ethics rule for prosecutors

While approving other parts of the proposal, the court denied the portion that would have required prosecutors to make timely disclosure of exculpatory evidence.

The state Supreme Court has declined to approve the section of a proposed ethical rule that would require prosecutors to make timely disclosure of exculpatory evidence.

In its unanimous order Monday, the court instead directed the State Bar to consider some revisions.
