Hurst recently made it easier for consumers to skip television commercials while watching shows on their handheld devices.


Fox Broadcasting Co. and other plaintiffs accused Hurst's client, Dish Network LLC, of violating copyright law when it allowed customers to view content saved on their digital video recorders, or DVRs.
