As Americans watched the 2014 Olympics with keen interest, a new player entered the Sochi Olympic scene: the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) or "drone." At a fraction of the cost of a helicopter, pilot and onboard camera crew, drone operators have been filming various events and practices using cameras on board their drones.
