State and tribal courts partner to hear certain cases

El Dorado County Superior Court will partner with a local tribal court to streamline family and juvenile cases involving tribal members.

El Dorado County Superior Court and the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Court have won a federal grant to create a collaborative court for juvenile and family cases in what officials call the first of its kind in the state.
