Ruling tosses privacy class action against Apple

A federal judge in San Jose has tossed the remaining claims in a privacy class action alleging that software on the electronics giant's mobile devices allows personal information to be collected and analyzed by third parties.

A San Jose federal judge tossed the two remaining claims in a privacy class action alleging that software on Apple Inc.'s mobile devices allows personal information to be collected and analyzed by third parties.


U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh late Monday stamped closed multidistrict litigation filed in 2010, netting a win for Apple and its counsel from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
