Public attorneys' pension contribution battle heats up

San Bernardino County's attorney union sued the county in June after officials imposed a contract forcing the lawyers to contribute more to their pensions. The dispute boils down to interpretation of a key pension reform law.

San Bernardino County's public attorneys thought they got a break earlier this month when a judge sided with them in a dispute with the county over rising pension contributions.


However, the lawyers learned Thursday that San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge David Cohn will reconsider his decision barring the county from imposing a contract adjusting employee pension payments.
