Brinker seeks appeal of employee class certification in wage and hour suit

The restaurant operator is appealing the certification of a class of more than 110,000 restaurant workers in a longrunning suit that's already made it to the state Supreme Court and back.

The Brinker Restaurant Corp. filed a petition Thursday to the California Court of Appeal seeking to appeal certification of a class of more than 110,000 restaurant workers in a longrunning wage and hour lawsuit.


The case previously led to a state Supreme Court decision on the requirement to provide employee breaks. The high court then remanded the lawsuit to San Diego Superior Court, and Judge William S. Dato certified...
