Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP and the CalCPA San Francisco Chapter hosted the San Francisco Mayoral Candidate Mixer in May. The mixer allowed for personal conversation with the 2011 mayoral candidates. The election will take place Nov. 8. Out of the 10 candidates vying for the position, seven were present at the mixer, including David Chiu, Bevan Dufty, Tony Hall, Dennis Herrera, Phil Ting, Leland Yee and Joanna Rees. “We were thrilled to host this year’s impressive slate of mayoral candidates in an informal setting, allowing us and them to speak candidly about such key issues as pension reform, job creation and payroll taxes,” said Matthew Miller, a partner at Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP. “These issues and the many others addressed by the candidates are critical, both to our clients and those of our gracious co-host, CalCPA, so we were pleased to provide a forum for this healthy discussion.”
