On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Trump administration would be rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program created by President Barack Obama in June 2012. This impacts almost 800,000 young people present in the U.S. without authorization, often called “Dreamers,” who had been given temporary protection from deportation and work authorization through DACA.
