Carol Lam

Lam showed guts last year after U.S. Attorney Alberto Gonzales handed her a pink slip - over what many believe was her aggressive prosecution of Rep. Duke Cunningham. On her last day in office, Lam persuaded a grand jury to indict two of Cunningham's associates. Now another crisis has landed in her lap.
