2017 IN REVIEW
2017 was a watershed year in California cannabis legislation. It essentially marked the end of 20 years of an unregulated market and unpredictable legal environment for medicinal cannabis, with a highly regulated market encompassing both medicinal and adult-use cannabis, which culminated in the state issuing the first cannabis business licenses on Dec. 14, which licenses will be effective on Jan. 1, 2018.
