New laws will affect contractors in California

In the run up to the deadline to sign legislation, Gov. Jerry Brown has signed several bills that will affect contractors in California. Discussed below are three bills that will, among other things, create a new PAGA exemption, a new labor-related liability rule for contractors, and establish a civil suit reporting requirement for contractors.
