California takes additional steps to stamp out trafficking

In a state replete with regulation, California adopted two new laws aimed squarely at combating human trafficking.

According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, California had the most human trafficking cases reported in 2017. To combat these malevolent acts, California enacted two new laws which impose training requirements and mandatory notice postings, and provide education and resources for employees who believe they, or someone they know, are victims of human trafficking.
