House committee approves bigger legal aid budget

Despite the Trump administration’s proposal to eliminate funding to an organization providing legal aid to low-income Americans, the House Appropriations Committee approved a funding bill that would increase the non-profit’s funds by $135 million to a total of $550 million, its largest ever budget.
