High court clarifies most arbitration decisions, and mistakes, are final.

Finality is referenced often as a beneficial facet of private arbitration, where appeals and judicial reversals are rare. But, as the state Supreme Court reminded attorneys Thursday, that seeming advantage entails risk that an arbitrator’s mistakes, even clear ones, may be permanent.
