Committee OKs bill aimed at USC sex abuse cases
AB 1510 has passed the state’s Senate Judiciary Committee, which allows victims facing statute of limitation challenges a chance to seek justice in a state civil court. The bill directly references to misconduct allegations against a former USC gynecologist, George Tyndall raised by students.




The state Senate Judiciary Committee green-lighted a special bill to extend the statute of limitations for victims to sue over sexual abuse by a USC gynecologist, while the university says a federal class settlement announced last week was the best resolution for the victims.
