Forensic DNA profiles are powerful tools for good

These profiles are created by crime laboratories every day — used to bring a name to unidentified remains, or to exonerate those wrongfully accused or convicted of crimes they did not commit. They are also used to identify criminals amongst us who believe they have gotten away with the perfect crime.
