The National Labor Relations Board is seeking public input on whether it should reconsider its standards on profane and offensive statements in the workplace.
In a notice released Thursday, the board asked for comment on protections that prevent employers from disciplining workers who use "extreme profane or racially offensive language" under the National Labor Relations Act.
