The California Legislature's battle against mandatory arbitration contracts continued Wednesday with the passage of a bill that would make significant changes to the industry in the state.
Assemblyman Rob Bonta, D-Alameda, called SB 707 "a narrow bill" when he presented it on the Assembly floor. It passed without debate on a 43-16, mainly party-line vote and now heads to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
