1st suit filed in Ventura County boat fire

The first lawsuit stemming from the Labor Day boat fire has been filed against vessel owners Truth Aquatics Inc. and Worldwide Diving Adventures, which chartered the boat for the trip. However, Truth’s move to limit liability invoking a century-old statute will likely complicate this lawsuit and other potential suits.
