When San Bernardino Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Michael A. Sachs took the bench in 2007, he wanted to see how many cases each judge was handling in the Victorville courthouse where he was sitting. A printout for each judge said 1,400 cases. Then his clerk told him that was just the maximum number the program could tabulate. The respective amounts were much higher.
