Class action alleges Apple slowed down older iPhones

A class action filed Wednesday in San Jose federal court against Apple Inc. claims an iOS feature ruined plaintiffs’ older model phones and forced customers to buy newer models.

Plaintiffs in a proposed class action filed against Apple Inc. are focusing on a state computer data access law in claiming the tech giant intentionally interfered with older iPhone devices without users' permission when rolling out updates.
