Emergency family law changes in LA may affect the kinds of matters filed in the Court of Appeal in the near term

The presiding judge for Los Angeles County Superior Court recently announced that a “ramp up” gradual resumption to business as usual will begin on June 22. Issues in the types of orders being made now under emergency rules and procedures and other orders made after June 22 will likely play an important role in family law appeals and writs for the foreseeable future.
