Few insurance disputes expected over riot and curfew coverage

There seems to be no dispute that direct property damage would be covered under most typical business insurance policies. But there are some legal gray areas regarding policies triggered by civil authority orders, such as a government curfew, attorneys said.

While business insurance policies are not triggered by civil authority orders such as government shutdowns related to the coronavirus, curfews related to the recent civil unrest probably have a better chance, with some hitches.
