Another eviction ban bill advances in Assembly

The Senate Judiciary Committee planned to take up AB 2179 on Tuesday. The bill will need a two-thirds vote in both houses to pass.

In what has become an annual event during the pandemic, lawmakers face another deadline this week to pass limits or bans on evictions.
