Defense casts doubt on brothers’ ‘billion-dollar oral deals’

"For example, where's the partnership agreement that there is a partnership?" Rick Richmond of Larson LLP asked jurors in closing arguments for a 20-year family dispute.

Is there a secret oral business partnership potentially worth billions of dollars between five brothers who sued each other that supersedes mounds of corporate structure documents, government records and signed agreements for family businesses spanning the globe?

Defense attorney Rick L. Richmond on Tuesday sought to persuade jurors in a massive breach-of-contract real estate lawsuit that that simply was not the case.
