Car rental app settles $15M lawsuit against insurance claims administrator
The settlement was reached after attorneys with Covington & Burling LLP rested their case on behalf of Getaround following eight days of trial.
The maker of a car rental app settled with a third-party insurance claims administrator mid-trial in a professional negligence and breach of contract lawsuit in San Francisco Superior Court.
Defendant Broadspire Services Inc. will pay plaintiff Getaround Inc. $15 million, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission Form 8-K that Getaround filed Thursday.
