Judge Patricia Garcia hung up her robe for the last time after presiding over family court and criminal court for the last 24 years on the San Diego County Superior Court.
Her last day on the bench was Thursday.
"As a judge, it was my honor to have served the public in a manner that I hope served them well and increased the public's confidence in the courts," Garcia said in a statement.
