Petition seeks records related to LA utility billing scandal

Attorneys attack government’s claim that former special counsel Paul Kiesel should be shielded.

Attorneys petitioned a federal judge to release unredacted records related to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power scandal. In their support brief, the attorneys for Consumer Watchdog and the Los Angeles Times attacked a key reason for denying some of this information: that it was necessary to protect “victims” of crimes.
