Bill to help Holocaust survivors recover stolen art sets up legal fight

The bill was inspired by a two-decade legal battle over a painting by Impressionist artist Camille Pissarro.

A bill introduced in the California Assembly aims to help Holocaust survivors recover art stolen by the Nazis. It could also set up a showdown with the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Spanish courts.
