Jury orders insurance company to pay San Bernardino County homeowners $18M

"This verdict sends a clear message that bad faith practices will not be tolerated, and victims will be rightfully compensated for their losses," said Aaron M. Dawson, who represents the plaintiffs.

A San Bernardino County jury returned an $18 million award for two sisters who had been in a five-year legal battle with their insurance companies over what their attorney called a bad faith handling of their property damage following a flood.

Aaron M. Dawson of Dawson & Rosenthal, P.C. represented the women at trial.
