A coalition of pilots sued the City of Torrance over an ordinance limiting operations at Zamperini Airfield, at the Torrance Municipal Airport. The plaintiffs claim that the ordinance improperly aims to limit noise pollution at the airport, in violation of an agreement the city has with the federal government not to limit the facility’s usefulness.
