Government's conduct upheld in novel securities fraud case against healthcare CEO

Government attorneys had been accused of prosecutorial misconduct over an interview they conducted in February with Curt Medeiros, a former Ontrak executive, without counsel consent.

A federal judge overseeing a novel securities fraud case against a former Santa Monica healthcare CEO found the government acted in good faith and did not breach its ethical duties when prosecutors contacted a prospective witness involved in parallel civil cases that tie into facts related to the criminal matter.
