DA Summer Stephan says it is time to restore balance to nation's criminal justice system

Summer Stephan, the district attorney for San Diego County, was sworn in on July 15 as president of the National District Attorneys Association. The organization, now in its 75th year, advocates in Washington and in state capitals for prosecutors' priorities. Stephan has been a prosecutor for nearly 35 years and the district attorney since 2018.
